Gebe Island has significant potential in the nickel mining sector, but the surrounding community faces serious challenges in accessing clean water due to heavy metal pollution, limited water treatment infrastructure, and low environmental literacy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between environmental education and community-based clean water management to improve quality of life and sustainable ecosystem resilience. A mixed-methods approach was used. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, pretest-posttest, and focus group discussions (FGDs). Analysis was conducted quantitatively and qualitatively. The results indicate that environmental education training can improve community knowledge and behavior in maintaining water quality. The success of this program is influenced by social, economic, and institutional factors, as well as the synergy between the government, community, and companies in creating a participatory and sustainable water management system.
